Shangri-La Sydney - Royal Suite

Bindi was commissioned to produce a number of items of furniture for the Royal Suite of the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. The centre piece of the suite being an 8 metre floor to ceiling wall unit to house the entertainment unit fridge and mini bar on the right as well as an Eco Smart open fire system on the left.

The master bedroom included a custom made bed head with soft feather and down head board and carved timber posts which extend to the ceiling. Bind also produced the large ottoman, makeup stool and mirrored desk.

Hyatt Hotel Canberra

All new furniture was created for the Hyatt Hotel Canberra in keeping with the 1930's style of the hotel.

Bindi manufactured the Tea Lounge Servery Counter which incorporated the coffee machine, refrigerators, cash register and a custom made glass cake display. Manufactured from crown cut Blackwood veneer, Calacutta Marble was used for the top and front facings (which are backlit with florescent lights). Stainless steel trimmings separate the marble and veneer and 10mm starfire glass covered the cake display.

This large buffet table was produced for the centre of the room, with a size of 3400 x 1500 we reinforced the base with 100 x 100 steel tubing then covered it with Blackwood veneer. Black Granite was used for the top and a 20mm glass guard mounted above.

Some of Bindi's standard chairs were used (the B196 and B199) as well as custom high back wing chairs and sofas. The tables were made from Blackwood veneer with stainless steel trimmings.

Folding Table

Bindi's 900 x 900 square drop leaf table extends to 1200 dia. Decorative hinges are used so that when the leafs are folded they add to the design and character of the table. Magnetic catches hold the leafs when folded. Used in restaurant applications where the table can quickly be converted from four to six seats.
This table was manufactured from solid Spotted gum timber and finished in clear satin polyurethane.

Conrad Jupiters Casino, Gold Coast

Bindi produced the casegood furniture for the 112 Executive Floor guest rooms and public areas at Conrad Jupiters Casino. The guest room furniture was made from American White Oak with Vinyl upholstered inlays and stainless steel trimmings. The combination desk and luggage rack was custom built to incorporate the computer, DVD and power / Internet outlets.

The Public Area furniture above and below was made from veneered Tasmanian Mirtle with 10mm solid timber edges and 5mm stainless steel inlays.

Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney

Each piece of furniture for the Four Seasons has been custom made by Bindi to the designers specifications. Pieces included a hand carved Writing Desk and Gold Leaf detail on the Dining Table and Chairs.

Marriott Hotel Sydney

The centre of the Marriott's new lounge bar includes a large custom made Ottoman which sits on a polished timber plinth, the back pillows are supported by a polished stainless steel rail. The ottoman is shaped to fit around the large concrete column in the centre of the room.
